Looking for a homeschool health & nutrition curriculum? Check out Apologia’s curriculum – my daughter loves it!

We have used Apologia products for years! And, we LOVE them! From General and Physical Science to Astronomy, Biology to Chemistry, Biblical Worldview and more! You can even check out my review of their  high school American Lit program!

So, when I discovered that Apologia created a Health and Nutrition course, I jumped on it immediately!

I received this product free of charge for review purposes and was compensated for my time. All opinions expressed in this post are my own and I was not required to post a positive review of the product.

The Perfect Health & Nutrition Curriculum for my Daughter!

You see, my daughter wants to be a dietician. She is very health conscious and tracks just about every health stat possible with her Fitbit. The girl even has a journal that she created to write down all of the nutritional info she has learned over the years!

So, with our affection for Apologia and my daughter’s keen interest in health and nutrition, I KNEW she would love Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition!

And you know what, I was right!! As soon as the package arrived, she was smitten! For about 15 minutes straight, all I heard was,

“Mom, this is great!”

“This is exactly what I need!”

“Mom, this is so cool!”

“I’m going to learn so much this year!”

Y’all, it was music to my ears! Looks like Apologia has hit another home run in our homeschool!

My daughter has been diligently working through the curriculum and has been learning so much! Just last week, she was telling me all about the four temperaments.

Apparently I am melancholic. I read the description of the strengths and weaknesses. And, yep…she was right!

I love that she is learning and is applying what she has learned. I love that she is teaching us quite a bit along the way too!

Bible-based Homeschool Health

Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition is a complete, comprehensive homeschool health course for high school age students. Taught from a Christian perspective, the curriculum approaches health from the standpoint of stewardship.

“At its core is the understanding that humans are created in the image of the one, true God and are His image-bearers. As such, we are to steward His gifts to us with excellence.”

The curriculum encourages whole health and addresses important aspects of our entire being: physical, nutritional, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

I totally appreciate that my daughter is learning about health and nutrition from a Christian perspective with medical backing, especially since there are some topics that are for mature students only!

Here’s a list of the Module titles:

  1. Who am I and Why Does Health Matter
  2. Physical Influences on Thoughts and Feelings
  3. Mental and Emotional Stability
  4. Interpersonal Harmony
  5. Treasuring Your Senses
  6. Processing Nourishment and Hydration
  7. Food Science I – Macronutrients
  8. Food Science II – Micronutrients
  9. Let’s Look at What You Eat
  10. Delivering Oxygen
  11. Let’s Move
  12. You’re Stronger Than You Look
  13. At War with Infection
  14. Peace in Difficult Times
  15. The Gift of Reproduction

The Student Notebook

The homeschool health curriculum consists of a hardcover textbook, spiral bound notebook, and online access to the book extras which includes links to helpful, related content and access to the test solutions.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it. I absolutely LOVE the Apologia student notebooks!

They are amazing! They are an organized, comprehensive way to document and showcase learning!

The hefty student notebooks are gorgeous! I love being able to look back at all that my kiddos learned through the year!

And, the Apologia Health and Nutrition notebook is no different! With beautiful color illustrations, study guide review questions, over 50 projects, ample space for note-taking and more, the notebook is a real jewel!

Yes, my daughter takes LOTS of notes! She loves using her favorite erasable pens and highlighters!

I am certain that my daughter will refer back to her Apologia Health and Nutrition notebook for years to come as she continues to learn about being a dietician!

Perhaps your child is interested in a health-related career OR maybe you just need to fulfill a health requirement for your homeschool.

Either way, be sure to check out Exploring Creation with Health and Nutrition from Apologia! You won’t be disappointed!
