Oh my goodness! OH MY GOODNESS!! College is just around the corner for my high schooler. I know, you may be saying, she’s ONLY 15…she’s JUST a freshman…you’ve got time. But, y’all, it is NOT too early to start planning and getting ready for that next big step in life.

Earn College Credit Online with Ed4Credit

I received limited access to this product free of charge for review purposes and was compensated for my time. All opinions expressed in this post are my own and I was not required to post a positive review of the product.

Now, more that ever, the opportunities for homeschoolers at the next level are expanding! There are many different resources available for homeschoolers to earn college credit. Today I’m going to tell you about my newest discovery, Ed4Credit.com.

Online Dual-Credit College Courses

Ed4Credit is essentially self-paced, online education where students can earn general education college credit. This makes it perfect for either homeschooling college or earning dual credit while in high school. Y’all, dual credit is a BIG deal!

What is dual credit, you may be wondering? Dual credit is basically when the student earns high school credit and actual college credit at the same time. The way I look at it, it’s like a 2-for-1 deal!

For example, the student signs up for Sociology (just one of the courses offered by Ed4Credit).

Online College Credit for Homeschoolers

By taking this ONE class, the student simultaneously fulfills social science credit for their high school graduation requirements AND they can earn a general education social science credit which can be transferred to an accredited college or university. See how it works!

Now that, is what I call being efficient!

Accredited Online College Classes

Not only does Ed4Credit present the opportunity for earning dual-credit, but it is important to note that Ed4Credit has partnered with the American Council on Education (ACE).

Ed4Credit’s courses have all either been recommended for credit by the ACE Alternative Credit Project™ or their College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT®).

A Note from Ed4Credit:

There are over 2,000 colleges on the ACE website, but there are many more universities that will allow a student to transfer in ACE recommended credits.

If you don’t see the school that you want to transfer to, all you need to do is call the university and ask a guidance counselor.

Read more about the Ed4Credit college partners and check out the ACE website for their list of colleges!

Affordable College Courses

Now, let’s talk money! With tuition, books, possibly room and board, and numerous “other” fees, college can be very expensive.

But, Ed4Credit makes all of those potential expenses way more affordable! The classes are all online, which means there is no expense for room and board AND no parking fees!

Each course is only $195 (except for science labs) and this fee includes the textbook and all other materials needed to complete the course (except for lab kit fees).

And, there are no hidden costs or fees! Now, I am LOVING that!
