Learn how to make these super easy, NO SEW, doll mittens (gloves) and ear warmers (headband). All you really need is just an old glove!
When my daughter was young, her dolls became part of our family….literally! Whatever my daughter had, she wanted the same for her dolls.
So, naturally, with cold weather, a doll needs mittens and ear warmers just like a little girl!
Since we love creative, crafty ideas, we decided to make our own! Here is a quick, easy, no sew tutorial on how to make doll mittens and earmuffs.

Supplies for the Doll Mittens & Ear Warmers:
All you need to make both the mittens are ear warmers is a regular old knit glove. You don’t even need a matching pair!
Yep, that lone glove that was headed for the trash? Save it!
Optional supplies include rhinestones or beads and a glue gun. That’s all!

Doll Mittens & Ear Warmer Tutorial Instructions:
First, cut off two fingers of the glove. Then cut off the wristband part as shown below.

At this point, you have your doll mittens and ear warmers (which can double as a headband.) The fingers that were cut off are the gloves for the doll.
And, the wristband becomes the doll ear warmers.
If you want to embellish the mittens and ear warmers a bit, simply use a hot glue gun to add some snowflake shaped beads for a little bling.
Complete Your Doll’s Winter Attire:
If you want to complete your doll’s winter attire, be sure to also:
Knit a winter coat or sweater!
Crochet a hat & purse!
Make an infinity scarf!
Or get a complete winter outfit ensemble!
Here are our ear warmers:

And, here are our mittens!

We’ve definitely got to keep those little ears and hands warm and cozy!

great ideas. We made doll underwear from mismatch kids socks. Skirts from them too. One thing that they used to do- I think my grandma did this for me (I am a 50’s baby) you make a cradle from an oatmeal box.

I really like your blog! I also blog about 18 inch doll crafts, this one I think is fantastic I can not wait to try it! As a mom of three boys, I have a lot of mismatched magic gloves. What a great idea for my nieces and my dolls!

This is wonderful! I’ve seen other ideas for making mittens and headbands, but I like yours the best. I have a niece and a friend of the family with these dolls, so I’ll be making some for sure. (And look out when my daughter gets one!)

I wish Princess would actually play with dolls…. It’s slowly coming.
Oh, and I was listening to a sermon that was talking about Rebekah being pregnant with twins, and I was just laughing at the comments made…..

what a neat idea!
If my daughter didn’t constantly undress every doll that she owns, then lose the clothing pieces, I would try this. lol
