Have an aspiring music producer? Incorporate their passion into your homeschool with this online, self-paced digital music production course!

I have always wanted my kids to be well-rounded individuals. So, I put them in sports. They took music lessons. I sent them to AWANA. The list goes on. They were involved in all the activities and classes I wanted them to participate in…

But not necessarily what they wanted to participate in.

I’ve since realized the key to loving to learn is pursuing your passions.

As a student, I got excited about math. I would ask my Geometry teacher for extra proofs to work on! I even went on to major in math in college and become a high school math teacher.

But – my kids are NOT passionate about math. Instead of begging for more algebra problems, I often hear moans and groans when it’s time to do math.

While it saddens me that my kids don’t share my passion for math, it’s so much more fun to hear them excited about their passions.

Therefore, I’m now much more proactive about incorporating my kid’s interests and passions into our homeschool.

For example, one son is taking an online computer programming class. Another is taking an exercise & sports physiology class. Another is taking an online vocal course.

And I just discovered a digital music production class for my aspiring music maker.

A Digital Music Production Course taught by one of the Best!

The digital music production course is part of the suite of online classes from Mr. D Math!

Take a peek at the video below! After watching it, I knew without a doubt that my son would absolutely love this class!

My son can pursue his passion for digital music production by learning from music producer, composer, and sound designer – Brent Daniels! Now that is pretty cool!

Mr. Daniels specializes in making music for movie, TV, and video game trailers. Perhaps you’ve heard of some of these:

  • Black Panther
  • Chaos Walking
  • Fahrenheit 451
  • The Ice Road
  • Black Widow
  • Hawkeye

Yep, my son is learning from one of the best in the business! And your kids can too!

Y’all, it is thorough! From sequencing to editing. Automation to mixing.

Online & Self-paced Digital Music Production Instruction:

Two of my favorite aspects of this digital music production course (aside from the rockstar instructor) are that the course is online and self-paced.

Let’s face it – my son is probably never going to have the opportunity to take a live, in-person class with Brent Daniels. That’s why online is so great! He still gets to learn from one of the best!

And, while Brent guides students step-by-step through the production process of making digital music, the self-paced aspect of the course is crucial!

My son can speed through the material he already knows – preventing boredom. Or, he can slow down to really grasp all the new concepts and instructions – even replaying lessons when needed.

For the record, there’s a lot more slowing down than speeding up, because Mr. Daniels has so much to share and my son is soaking it all in like a sponge!

Conversations about the Digital Music Production Course:

Before starting the class, my son was complaining about “latency” when using his earbuds to make music. I didn’t really know what he was talking about. But, once he got started with the class, he learned exactly what hardware is best for digital music production!

And, in case you’re curious, when it comes to headphones, bigger is better and cords are king!!

Later, as I peered over his shoulder, I noticed The DAW. “Do you know what a DAW is?” My son looked at me side-eyed when I asked him this question.

“Do you have one?” I asked. “Of course, mom – you kinda need that to make electronic music that’s legit!”

This is definitely not a fluff course on digital music production. Brent Daniels is the real deal!

And my son is loving it!

Needless to say, I’m so happy to see my son excited about what he’s learning – even if it’s not math!

Do you have an aspiring music producer? If so, I highly recommend Mr. D Math’s Digital Music Production course taught by the one and only Brent Daniels!
