These little bird nests are so cute and they were so easy to make! We made them for our bird lessons.

This is what you need:
– 6 tsp honey
– 6 tsp butter
– 4 oz semisweet chocolate
– 3 cups cornflakes
– small round candies
– cupcake papers

Here is what we did:

-Stir the honey, butter, and chocolate (we used chocolate chips) in a pot over low heat until melted.
– Remove from heat and stir in cornflakes until well coated.
– Place cupcake papers in a cupcake baking tray and add the chocolate flake mixture to each by pressing against the sides and making a hole in the middle.
– Let the nests set and hardened for at least two hours. One dry and hard, remove the paper wrapper and add the candies for the eggs (we used M&Ms)! That’s it!!!

I got this super cute idea from I Can Cook: Fun, Easy, Step-by-Step Recipes.

They are so sweet. This is my kind of recipe – easy with great looking results.

What an AWESOME idea! I keep seeing so many things like this on blogs, and I am terrified I won’t remember them when my daughter is old enough to try them out!

I am starting a new “mom’s community” blog with a friend in March. Please let me know if you’d ever be interested in guest posting; I think you have just what we need!
