As a mom of five very different kids, with very different personalities, I was very excited when the opportunity to review The 5 Love Languages of Children and A Perfect Pet for Peyton arose!

image

A Perfect Pet for Peyton is about twins, Peyton and Penny, who celebrate their birthday with an amazing adventure at Mr. Chapman’s Pet Pal Emporium. With the help of Mr. Chapman, the twins and three of their friends each find their own perfect, unique pet all while discovering their own personal love languages. The colorful book, complete with hidden details, is based on Gary Chapman’s highly successful 5 Love Languages and is the companion to The 5 Love Languages of Children.

Children and parents alike will experience firsthand the power of the love languages as they cuddle up and spend precious time together reading this book over and over again.
–The 5 Love Languages website

Our Thoughts: As soon as the book arrived, my 8 year old daughter curled up and began reading it with one of the boys.

I later cuddled up and discussed the book with her. We looked at some of the questions in the 5 Love Languages Quiz in the back of the book to help her identify her own personal love language. She quickly told me, “Mom, I know what my love language is. Quality Time…because I like to spend time with the boys [my brothers].” Of course, I have to remind her of this when she gets upset about her brothers coming in her room. {grins} The Love Languages Mystery Game for Children even confirmed her love language!

The kids and I really enjoyed A Perfect Pet for Peyton! It provides a fun, engaging way for kids to identify how they give and receive love best!

I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile with my daughter, I think it would really help her understand herself better. Of course, if I just told her about the 5 love languages she would probably only half pay attention but if she read a story about it…well, that will make all the difference I’m sure. Thanks!

I would love to win this as my husband and I have talked about our Love Languages since we were dating. We talk about the boys’ love languages all the time, but would love to have them confirmed. 😉

Hi, my husband and I have read the 5 love languages together and it helped us to understand each other. Now that we have children, this book would be helpful to understand our children’s love languages and help them understand each other. Thanks

Hi, I would absolutely LOVE to win this and this is why. My husband and I just finished a class to help us learn our own love languages, and I love the concept. I am a new homeschooling mom (this year is my first of 2 boys) and I have struggled so bad to try and figure out what keeps them motivated to do their work. I have reward systems like CRAZY!! Just 2 days ago, I feel like I heard God say to me “they dont want to work for rewards, they want to work for love”. Last night, I was up late, trying to figure out new “motivation” systems in order to incorporate God’s love and they love my children are seeking. I want to win this because I feel like it might be the answer to what God has JUST been telling me. Thank you so much for the opportunity. 🙂

I have 3 kids, with one on the way. We are a family with the love for books. My oldest, 7 is always asking for something new to read. It’s always nice to get new books for our bookshelf. Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway!

I want to win! Now that I’ve had a 2nd child, I can tell my oldest (6 year old) is feeling some jealousy and I’m afraid she feels less loved. I would love to be able to try & figure out her love language so I can give her the love she needs the most!

I would love to win this for my kids. I have read both of the 5 Love Languages books (for adults/kids) and this would be great to help them identify their love languages. I have made my own guesses, but it would be awesome to hear their hearts on this.

My husband and I were in a marriage class at church where we used Gary Chapman’s “Five Love Languages” and it has done so much for strengthening our marriage. I would love to have copies of these books to add to my library to teach my children (ages 4 & 1). Chapman is an awesome writer, and I think he hit the heart of marriage problems in that when a couples do not speak the proper love language to each other, then the love just isn’t felt. If children learn and apply these concepts at an early age, imagine how much stronger their relationships can be when they are ready to marry.

Hi Mama Jenn! I discovered your awesome blog through pinterest, now I follow you on pinterest and facebook! I would LOVE to win the book because I have 5 amazing kids, all uniquely created by God. I suspect what a couple of their love languages are (one of my daughters is a total snuggle bug…thinking hers is physical touch). Anywho, I want to find out for sure what each of my kid’s love language is so that I can be sure to daily love them in the way THEY RECEIVE LOVE THE BEST, so that I can daily fill their love tanks! If I win (EEEEEEP!) the easiest way to contact me is via email… [email protected] God bless you! Thankyou for the ministry you provide to fellow mommies! Hugs, Wendi Walker 🙂
