As much as I love the hands-on activities and crafts in our My Father’s World Kindergarten Curriculum, I was not very good about doing the Words to Remember badges with my daughter. So, I came up with something a little different for the boys. I created printable art/copywork pages for them to work on their penmanship while creatively depicting the Words to Remember. It was a hit!
This is one of our Lesson 4: Aa Apple pages. First, the boys completed the copywork at the bottom of the page and then they began the craft portion of the activity.
Supplies:
- apple
- knife
- red paint
- MFW Words to Remember printable
Directions:
1) Cut the apple in half such that you could see the star shaped core.
2) Remove the seeds.
3) Dip the apple (cut side down) into the paint.
4) Stamp the apple print onto the printable page.
PLEASE NOTE: These copywork printables are only for students who are reading and writing easily. This type of copywork is not a regular part of the My Father’s World Kindergarten curriculum.

Yes, they could write in cursive in kindergarten, but they didn’t start reading until WELL after that.

Hi Wendy!
I’m not sure what the problem could be. I just went to my exact webpage with the MFW Kinder printables ( http://www.mamajenn.com/MamaJenn/MFW_Kindergarten.html), scrolled down, and was able to download all three sets of the printables. You may want to try again.

Nicole,
I actually have ALOT of Bible copywork pages that I created to go along with the MFW curriculum. While they are for MFW, they are still Bible verses! You can check them out here: http://www.mamajenn.com/MamaJenn/MFW_1st.html here: http://www.mamajenn.com/MamaJenn/MFW_Adventures.html and here: http://www.mamajenn.com/MamaJenn/MFW_ECC.html

This would be such a great hands-on way to help children memorize Bible verses too – something artsy to drive the point home and then the copy work of course. I may just have to try coming up with some similar things myself (we are not using MFW curriculum, although I have heard wonderful things about it). Thanks for sharing, Jenn!
