My kids absolutely LOVE when we do art projects for school. And of course, I include lots of great art activities and projects into our curriculum plans each year.

However, without fail, I somehow don’t get around to doing nearly as much art with the kids as they (or I) would like. Don’t get me wrong, I love being able to proudly display their beautiful creations, but when it comes to our school day, art is often left out.

Sound familiar?

Then, keep reading for my solution to this re-occurring problem!

I received this product free of charge for review purposes and was compensated for my time. All opinions expressed in this post are my own and I was not required to post a positive review of the product.

Enough is enough! This school year WILL be different! I have decided to not just listen to my kids’ pleas for more art, but to DO SOMETHING about it! It is time to move beyond planning art lessons and actually DOING them!

Want to join me in being proactive about incorporating regular art lessons?

First, I decided to brainstorm and make a realistic plan to actually include more art into our homeschool. I began by asking myself two questions.

Why do I leave art out?

What would make me more inclined to NOT leave it out?

For me, the answers to these questions were simple. Art projects usually take quite a bit of time. And time is something that I just don’t seem to have enough of. I would be more likely to actually follow through with my art lesson plans if they were easier and didn’t require as much from me as the teacher.

Easy Options for Art Lessons

So, I came up with two options for art lessons: in-person art classes (at an art studio or a local co-op) or online art lessons. Both options would be easier because I would not be the primary teacher. However, live instruction would still be time-consuming for me because I would have to drive the kids to and from the lessons. So, I decided to go with online art lessons!

I began my search for the best online art lessons for my kids (and myself) and I am SOOO thrilled with the program I found! Drum roll please!!!

Sparketh Online Art Lessons

We did a few projects of the Sparketh art lessons over the summer to get an idea of what it will be like once we completely incorporate the art curriculum this fall. Y’all, I am so stinkin’ excited!

Using Sparketh Online Art Lessons for Kids

Using Sparketh was super easy!!! I simply gathered the art supplies and the laptop. Within no time, my daughter got to work painting!

I listened in on a few of the video lessons, popped in and out of the room, and snapped a few photos. But, truth be told, I got busy and kinda forgot she was working on the art lesson. I came back and found that she had completed the art project!

She created a beautiful Birds at Night canvas painting while I was busy folding laundry. How’s that for time management!

My son wanted to try a lesson as well. He picked the tree frog. Again, we simply gathered the supplies and he got to work!

My perfectionist son loved the step-by-step demonstration and instruction! Again, I got busy with chores while he diligently worked on his tree frog. I started cooking dinner and came back to this!

Problem Solved!

I cannot begin to express how excited I am about using Sparketh this fall! My kids will receive quality art instruction and I’ll have lots of great artwork to display around the house. Plus, incorporating the lessons are super easy because there is not a lot required of me! I simply gather the supplies and set up the laptop. The awesome Sparketh instructors do the rest! My problem is solved!

I don’t know if art lessons for kids can get any easier that this!

More About Sparketh Online Art Lessons for Kids

Want to know more about the program that I keep gushing over? Sparketh was launched in July 2015. To date there are over 500 video lessons! Now, that’s a lot of art to choose from!

The courses are well organized! Within each course is a materials list as well as downloadable worksheets and course files (if needed). Plus, reminders are included and vocabulary is covered in the Terms & Takeaways section.

One of my favorite parts is that each course is divided up into multiple mini video clips. This makes it very easy if you have to break the project up over time.

And I definitely cannot forget to mention that there are NO ADS on the site! No need to worry about unwanted advertisements or images popping up!

Sparketh Online Art Lessons for Kids

Guys, I am sold! I love Sparketh Online Art Lessons and I am confident that art will no longer be left out of our homeschool!

And, you don’t have to leave art out of your homeschool either! Head on over and sign up for a FREE one-month trial of Sparketh and get unlimited access to the 500+ art lessons!
