Welcome to Mama’s Mission of the Month! My hope is that this will help me {and you} accomplish the goals we have set for the month! So, if you are a mom and you’re ready to start getting things done, feel free to join in! Check out the intro post for all the details!

Update: Life is hectic these days. But I’m sure I’m no different than most moms! Honestly, I feel like I’m running a taxi service. I feel like I’m constantly driving, dropping off, and picking up my kids from their various activities. From flag football practice to volleyball practice…from guitar lessons to drum lessons. In spite of all the “action,” I was still able to make good headway on my goals for last month and got quite a bit marked off! Check it out:

August 2016 Accomplishments:

Personal:

1. Exercise at least 3 times per week.

2. Scrapbook 5 pages.

Marriage:

3. Write a love note to my hubby.

Parenting:

4. Have 2 family game nights. For some reason Headbands has been the game of choice lately for the kids…

5. Have 3 family movie nights. We used Vidangel to filter and watch The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Mrs. Doubtfire, and The Angry Birds Movie. I LOVE that we can filter out any unwanted content!!

Homeschooling:

6. Organize and file all 2015-2016 schoolwork.

7. Do lessons plans for entire 2016-2017 school year. I LOVE Homeschool Planet…period! I was able to plan the entire year in hours!

8. Start the new school year.

Homemaking:

9. Print and frame pictures from our vow renewal ceremony.

Ministry/Friendships/Extended Family:

10. Start sending our birthday cards again.

Blogging/Online Activity:

11. Update 5 more blog posts.

12. Update and move my Living Math Books blog from Blogger to WordPress. I did a complete overhaul! Be sure to check out the new site!

13. Update and move my “Brown Like Me” Books blog from Blogger to WordPress.

Miscellaneous:

14. Try using a cast iron skillet and learn how to “season” it. My mom gave me a few small skillets years and years ago and after much research, I got the all seasoned up! I even successfully made eggs that didn’t stick. (TRUTH MOMENT: The first time they stuck, but the second time was successful!) I’m so excited, that I purchased a big 12 inch cast iron skillet!

My Mission for September 2016:

Personal:

1. Exercise at least 3 times per week.

2. Scrapbook 5 pages.

3. Paint my toe nails.

Marriage:

4. Write a love note to my hubby.

5. Plan 4 dates.

Parenting:

6. Have 2 family game nights.

7. Have 3 family movie nights.

8. Plan 1-on-1 time with each child.

Homeschooling:

9. Organize our classroom.

10. Make & assign grading scale for my 8th grader.

Homemaking:

11. Print and frame pictures from our vow renewal ceremony.

12. Use my new cast iron skillet.

Ministry/Friendships/Extended Family:

13. Finish redesigning & updating my daughter’s volleyball team website.
