Quickly and easily gather quality history resources (books, videos, audio files, websites, and more) via the ultimate searchable Homeschool History database!
Do you ever wish you could just go to one website and get loads of information to supplement your history studies? Wouldn’t it be great if there was a one-stop-shop that contained history-based videos, books, audio resources, field trip options, etc that you could easily peruse as you plan out your unit studies?
Ok, so, maybe you’re thinking, “Jenn, that’s what Google and Pinterest are for…”
Well, maybe so, IF you want to wade through a massive amount of “stuff” and weed out the garbage, in hopes of finding something both suitable for your studies and appropriate for your kiddos.
BUT, if you’re like me and you would prefer to search through pre-approved, homeschool-friendly resources from a trusted name in homeschool history studies, a Homeschool History membership is exactly what you need!
What exactly IS Homeschool History?
Homeschool History is a membership site, created by the team at Notgrass History, that provides access to a searchable database of hundreds of videos, books, historic sites, audio files, and more!
Searching through the vast amount of content is made easy with the three main search directories: keyword/resource search, map search, and topic search.
Homeschool History Search by Keyword
Use the little magnifying glass icon to search the history database by keyword. Further refine your search by resource type (Audio/Music, Book, Event, Historical Site, Video, or Website).
Homeschool History Search by Country/Region
Use the little folded map icon to gather historical resources from a particular country or region.
Homeschool History Search by Topic
Use the list icon to search from an extensive list of popular topics. Or, you can further refine your search by selecting a particular Region of the World or category (Daily Life, Events, Government, Ideas, People, Places, or Science/Technology).
Homeschool History Bookmarks
One of my favorite additions to the Homeschool History membership site is the bookmark tool. When you find awesome resources (and I know you will!), simply “bookmark them” so that you can easily access them later.
Simply click the little bookmark icon on any resource page to save the resource. (The icon will turn red when saved.) Click the little bookmark icon in the top right corner to quickly retrieve your compiled list of bookmarked resources. Super easy and convenient!!
And, yes, you can filter your bookmarks AND sort through them by keyword! Pretty cool, huh!!
Supplement ANY History Curriculum
My absolute favorite part about Homeschool History is it’s versatility. It doesn’t matter what history curriculum you’re using! Your children will benefit from you using Homeschool History because it helps to make history come alive!
Rather than relying solely on textbooks, parents can find additional resources (books, videos, movies, websites, etc) to add more context to their subject matter. It is an excellent supplement for ANY history curriculum.
Even if you don’t use a specific history curriculum, especially if you don’t use a specific history curriculum, this is THE ultimate resource for you to gather information for do-it-yourself unit studies!
Let Notgrass History help you and your children explore the world through reading books, watching movies, listening to audio files, and digitally (or physically) traveling to historical sites by utilizing the Homeschool History membership site!
