Kids will LOVE these adorable mini jello gelatin watermelon slices! You won’t believe the surprise ingredients! Get the recipe and impress your kids today!

Aren’t these just the cutest things you have ever seen? The seeds! The rind! Just wait until I tell you about the special ingredients I used to make these darling little Jello gelatin watermelon slices!

Would you believe I made these from just limes, Jello mix, and chocolate chips? And, they were super easy to make. The hardest part was sticking the chocolate chips inside the gelatin (but I have a little trick to share to make it easier!)

Want to impress your kids with these fun miniature watermelons? Check out this super simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • limes
  • 1 small box of red Jello
  • mini chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Cut limes in half lengthwise and use a grapefruit spoon to scoop out all the fruit.

  2. Place the limes in a muffin tin to keep them from tipping over.

  3. Prepare the box of Jello according to the Jiggler directions.

  4. Carefully spoon the Jello into the lime halves. Chill until almost firm.

  5. Using a toothpick push the mini chocolate chips into the Jello.

(HELPFUL HINT: Poke the flat/bottom side of the chocolate chip with the toothpick and plunge the chip in pointy side first.)

  6. Chill until until firm, then cut into slices and enjoy.

My kiddos absolutely LOVED these and I’m sure yours will too! What a great, fun recipe that’s both easy to make and yummy to eat!
