Students can learn how to type for FREE with Typedojo’s online typing practice, interactive games, and typing speed tests.

I don’t know about you, but I like FREE. From picking up furniture my neighbors are getting rid of on bulk trash day to joining random email lists just to get a discount coupon code.

I’m that person in front of you at the grocery store checkout having the cashier override the prices. Because they rang up 79 cents more than they were marked on the shelf.

Needless to say, I’m always looking for a way to save money! Even when it comes to homeschooling my children! Especially when it comes to homeschooling my children.

Because let’s face it – homeschooling is not cheap. But, that’s why I LOVE finding FREE educational resources for my kids. My latest FREE homeschool find is an online typing program.

Online Typing Practice

Typedojo provides online typing practice designed to help kids learn to touch type – for FREE! What exactly is touch typing? Basically, it’s the ability to type without having to constantly look down at the keyboard the verify the letters and keys you’re using. The more you practice touch typing, the more quickly and efficiently you can type.

Utilizing a typing program to help your child avoid pecking the keyboard and instead master the muscle memory needed to touch type will benefit them for years to come.

And, Typedojo keeps kids engaged in their typing practice through the use of interactive online typing games, custom avatar options, and goal-setting features. Gotta love that!

Typing Speed Tests

Once your student has spent time practicing with Typedojo’s online typing lessons and typing games, they are ready to start testing their skills. Typedojo has an English typing speed test where students can earn a typing certificate to show how well they can type!

Are curious about your child’s current typing abilities and want to assess where they are? Want to know how fast they can type? Their accuracy? Their words or characters per minute?

Maybe you want to see just how well you type! Either way, give this online typing test a try. I have found myself using it over and over to test my own typing skills. I’ve become a bit obsessed with trying to beat my own time!

If you’ve got a competitive child, they may enjoy the challenge of beating their own time as well – not realizing that with every try, they are improving their typing skills!

So, if you’re anything like me and you like FREE – check out Typedojo! It is the online typing practice program for those wanting to help their child learn to type faster and more efficiently without having to spend a dime!

And, for the record – it doesn’t even require you to join an email list to use the program!
