As much as I love the hands-on activities and crafts in our My Father’s World Kindergarten Curriculum, I was not very good about doing the Words to Remember badges with my daughter.
So, I came up with something a little different for the boys. I created printable craft / copywork pages for them to work on their penmanship while creatively depicting the Words to Remember. It was a hit!

This is one of our Lesson 5: Nn Nest pages. First, the boys completed the copywork at the bottom of the page and then they began the craft portion of the activity.

Craft Supplies:
- blue construction paper
- brown yarn
- scissors
- MFW Words to Remember printable (scroll for download instructions)
Craft Instructions:
1) Cut some oval shaped eggs from blue construction paper.
2) Glue the yarn onto the copywork page to make the nest.
3) Glue the eggs “into” the nest.
Cutting the ovals for the eggs was great practice with scissors and gluing all the yarn worked on those fine motor skills!
PLEASE NOTE: These copywork printables are only for students who are reading and writing easily. This type of copywork is not a regular part of the My Father’s World Kindergarten curriculum.

Hi Beth! Yes, my boys did these pages last year when they were in Kindergarten. While we love MFWK, we don’t use the language arts part of it. We use Spell to Write and Read and I chose to teach my kids cursive early using Cursive First. So, while some kinders may not be ready for copywork, my kids were…so I tried it. That is a great idea to have your older kids use it as well. FYI, if you are also using MFW Adv, or 1st, or ECC, I do have copywork pages for the Bible verses in each curricula!

These are GREAT! I have a question though. Do you have an older student doing this handwriting? I don’t think either of my girls could have done it in K, and I am almost certain that my little boy will not be able to do it. Just wondering. I used MFW K for both my older girls and plan to use it with my son, and we just loved it. Best K program out there, IMO.
