We enjoy playing games! However, my little guys tend to have a little trouble when we play card games because they struggle to keep all the cards in their hands. So, I saw this super cute idea a long time ago (can’t remember where) but I decided to make one for my boys. Well, this little card holder worked so well and was such a hit that ALL of my kids wanted one!

This little gadget is super easy to make! All you need is a brad and two (different sized) plastic lids. The smaller lid is from a container of cake frosting.

087

All you need to do is poke a hole in the center of both lids. Place the tops of the lids together and connect them with the brad. Here is what the front and back of the holder looks like:

To use, simply slide the cards in between the lids.

And here is a picture of one of my little boys sitting in his bean bag chair playing UNO with his new card holder!

Needless to say, we are loving our new card holders! Playing card games with the little guys is so much easier now!

If you aren’t interested in making your own, but you still want to make card holding easier for your little ones, a reader let me know about some card holders that can be purchased online. Click on the images below for more info:

This is an awesome idea. I was just teaching my four year old to play Uno with the rest of us last week and holding onto her hand was a challenge to say the least. I’m excited about finding something to do with these random plastic lids too!
