Check out the yummy, EDIBLE, tortilla snowflakes that we made to go along with the book Snip, Snip, Snow by Nancy Poydar for Little Books for Little Cooks on Totally Tots!
Snip, Snip, Snow is another favorite book of ours! Desperately longing for it to snow, Sophie resolves to create her own snow by cutting out snowflakes. The book provides step by step instructions for making your own paper snowflakes. But we took it a step further and made snowflakes we could actually eat!

Adorable idea, my girls love snow (but we live in the desert) and tortillas, will have to give this a try! Just found your blog, I’m a homeschooling mom w/ 3 girlies, always looking for new ideas!

These are so pretty!
Jana, I LOVE that idea!!! I think we may try it next time!!! At least that way the WHOLE tortilla will get eaten up!!! 🙂
That is so funny! I saw the title of your post over at Jolanthe’s and I laughed. This week, my two younger boys discovered how to make a whole in the middle of a tortilla. I took it a step further and made a snowflake (biting the holes instead of with scissors!). Needless to say, my boys were impressed! Mommy’s got skillz!
