KJ made this super cute kangaroo pencil holder. I just love the little pouch (the cup). She uses it to store colored pencils on her desk.

Kangaroo Pencil Holder Craft

I found the printable pattern and instructions from Danielle’s Place. (Just scroll down a bit. On the site, it is called the Kangaroo Planter Craft.)

Supplies:
large popsicle stick
plastic cup
googly eyes
brown paint
cardstock
printable pattern (found here)

Rather than using brown cardstock, I let KJ paint ALL the pieces (cardstock, popsicle stick, and cup) so that the kangaroo would look more uniform and all his body parts would be the shade of brown. But, you could very easily use brown cardstock, or brown foam for the face, arms, and legs. Lots of options!

Jenn, thanks for putting a link back to Danielle’s Place for the pattern, but please change the link to this page: http://www.daniellesplace.com/html/KangarooCrafts.html and don’t link to the pattern pages.
