We have been having SOOOO much fun this Christmas making ornaments for the tree. When we got ready to decorate the tree, I hate to admit it, but I was not really “feeling” it! I didn’t even take out all our ornaments. I just took out the meaningful ones and left ALL the rest in the boxes. The kids must have noticed it was a bit more bare than usual, because they have totally helped me kick it in gear and we have been having a blast making all kinds of ornaments! Both of ornaments here were made using popsicle sticks, paint, and glitter. For our snowflakes, we used four popsicle sticks, painted them, glued them together and added glitter. I attached a little ribbon to hang them and that is it!

For our stars, we used five popsicle sticks, paint, and glitter as well. The kids painted the sticks. I used a hot glue gun to attach them together in the star shape and they added the glitter. Once dry I added on the ribbon to hang them.
And, there you have it! Two very simple, but very fun ornaments you and your kiddos can make to decorate the Christmas tree!

These are beautiful – we’ll definitely be doing this, since M is in a glitter-mania stage right now. 🙂 Thanks for sharing, I love how they turned out!
