We made Easter bunny magnets as part of our Easter celebration. They were fun and easy to make! Here are instructions for making your very own bunny magnets.
Supplies for Easter Bunny Magnets:
- magnet (I just cut apart one of those advertising magnets that I got in the mail…you know the ones…we often get them from real estate agents and they usually have a little calendar on them)
- cotton ball
- wiggle eyes
- pink and white construction paper
- button
- glue
Instructions for Easter Bunny Magnets:
First, cut out some ears and whiskers for the bunny. Cut the magnet down so that it will fit onto the cotton ball.
Next, glue the ears together and attached them onto the magnet. Glue the whiskers together as shown below.
Finally, use the glue to attach the cotton ball to the magnet. Add on the eyes, whiskers, and the button nose! Allow to dry!
*We got the idea for this cute little bunny rabbit magnet from 175 Easy-To-Do-Easter Crafts.
Easter Bunny Are You For Real?
We made the Easter bunny magnets to go along with the book, Easter Bunny, Are You For Real? by Harold Myra. The book is about some children and how they are able to see beyond the commercialism of Easter as they learn of its true meaning! This is a great book to use to explain the true Easter story and how many of the celebrations of spring have been tied together with it. The story encourages both the celebration of Christ rising from the dead as well as the the celebration of spring!
Along with this fun Easter bunny magnet, we also did lots of other crafts and activities that were more focused on the Resurrection.
