For our very first Kiddos Create Challenge of the Week, the challenge item was buttons. We decided to make button rainbows.First, I let the kids sort my {many} buttons by color. We used blue paper and I drew rainbow lines on the paper as a guide for the kids. Of course we had to add cotton ball clouds!

    I love this ideas. I will be watching a friend’s little girl and this is right up her alley. The only problem is I don’t have that many buttons. Where do you get your multitude of buttons?

    I found a pack of bulk buttons from a craft store. I also save the “extra” buttons that come with clothes! 🙂

    Hee hee, love the rainbow, like I said, I thought about putting our house map on there because we were using a button to show where they needed to hide.

    FYI…I didn’t let the kids glue the buttons down. Once they made the rainbows and we admired them…they put them back in my button box! {smile}

    Jenn,

    That looks really nice. I would have had to use something other than buttons (but I know that’s the challenge item) because I like to use them on clothes I make. I enlarged the picture and saw that you have some really cool buttons that would look great on an outfit.
