With all of the sickness and germs we have been trying to avoid, I decided to do a little experiment with the kids to teach them about germs. (Plus, it went well with our “G” week.) We used a bar of soap, glitter, and a pump bottle of soap. I put glitter in their hands and told them that the glitter was like germs. I gave them a bar of soap and told them to wash their hands. They got “germs” all over the soap…
So, I explained why I had them using soap from a pump bottle rather than a bar of soap. Plus, I made them wash their hands until all the glitter was gone and explained to them that in order to wash away the germs, that they must wash their hands thoroughly every single time!!!
